The “Drag Race” winner and host of “Trixie Motel” told Insider that she will “never” participate in the competition again.
Trixie Mattel, a drag performer, talked to Insider about her new show, “Trixie Motel,” and why she “never” plans to return to “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
Prior to returning for the third season of “All Stars,” where she defeated Kennedy Davenport to win the competition, Mattel competed in the seventh season of “Drag Race,” where she quickly won over the hearts of the audience.
Despite her prior success, Mattel admitted to Insider that she has no interest in participating in a future season of “All Winners” like the one that is now showing on Paramount+.
In response to a question regarding “All Winners,” Mattel replied, “No.”
They did ask me to return for “All Stars,” she continued, “but we wanted you to know that we always think [of you] if you wanted to take the opportunity.
Hey, we’re doing “All Winners,” and we know you don’t want to do it, but we wanted you to know that we always think [of] you if you wanted to do the opportunity.”
When Mattel joined Michelle Visage, Leona Lewis, and Vanessa Williams on “Queen of the Universe,” an international drag singing competition that airs on Paramount+, she made the shift from “Drag Race” contestant to full-time judge the previous year.
She confessed, “I adore judging. Leona Lewis, Vanessa Williams, Michelle Visage, and Graham Norton are amusing individuals to joke about with, but the skill is so ludicrous, just think of the season 2 singers if those were the season 1 singers.
Mattel would want to incorporate the concept with her own program, “Trixie Motel,” although she is not opposed to participating as a judge on “Drag Race.”
