Miss Ireland 2022 is a young doctor who worked in a Kerry hospital during the outbreak.
Ivanna McMahon, 27, was named Miss Ireland Sunday night in Castlebar, County Mayo. She was one of 36 finalists.
She’s from Ennis, Clare, and she won Miss Munster over the weekend; she’ll represent Ireland at Miss World in December.
“It was so incredible that it defies belief. I was shocked beyond belief, yet I couldn’t help but feel grateful and humbled to have been chosen.
She reported to independent that she had the sensation of “flying in space” when she heard her name being called. i.e.
Last night, she played “Cosmic Love” by Florence + the Machine on the harp. She can play a number of instruments.
She explained why she decided to compete in the pageant by saying that she wanted to do something completely out of the ordinary for herself.
Dr. McMahon is becoming a family physician and wants to participate in the pageant to do something different for herself.
When the Covid outbreak began in 2020, I had just graduated from University College Cork and was starting my first year as a general practitioner at University Hospital Kerry.
